These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of AI Quiz Assistant, including our website at quizassistant.co.uk and the AI Quiz Assistant browser extension (together, the "Service"), operated by MIK INDUSTRIES LIMITED (company number 15304261), registered in England and Wales at 3rd Floor, 86-90 Paul Street, London, England, United Kingdom, EC2A 4NE. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The service
AI Quiz Assistant is a study and practice assistant that captures questions you choose to submit and returns AI-generated suggested answers and explanations to help you understand and learn from them. It is a learning aid, not a guarantee of correctness.
Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your login credentials secure.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.
Acceptable use and academic integrity
You agree to use AI Quiz Assistant only for honest, self-directed study and practice. You must not use the Service to violate academic integrity policies, to circumvent proctoring, or to obtain unauthorised assistance during graded or supervised assessments. You are responsible for ensuring your use complies with the rules of your school, employer, or any platform you use. Full details are in our Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
Plans, billing, and cancellation
- Free tier: we offer a free plan with monthly usage and device limits, with no card required.
- Paid plans: paid subscriptions provide higher usage and device limits. Prices, limits, and billing intervals (monthly or annual, where available) are shown at checkout.
- Recurring billing: paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. Payments are processed by Stripe.
- Cancellation: you can cancel at any time from your Billing settings. Cancellation stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the current paid period.
- Refunds: except where required by law, payments are generally non-refundable. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us and we will review your case in good faith.
Usage and device limits
Each plan includes a monthly analysis allowance and a maximum number of registered devices. We may enforce these limits, and we may apply reasonable rate limiting to protect the Service. Attempting to circumvent limits (for example by sharing accounts) is not permitted.
AI output and your responsibility
Answers and explanations are generated by artificial intelligence and may be incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any output before relying on it. MIK INDUSTRIES LIMITED does not warrant the accuracy of AI-generated content and is not responsible for decisions you make based on it.
Your content
You retain ownership of the content you submit. You grant us the limited right to process that content to provide the Service, including sending it to our AI provider to generate an analysis. You must have the right to submit any content you provide and must not submit unlawful material. Our handling of your data is described in our Privacy Policy.
Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, branding, and content (excluding content you submit), is owned by MIK INDUSTRIES LIMITED or its licensors and is protected by applicable law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.
Availability
We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features, and may carry out maintenance, from time to time.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or where necessary to protect the Service or other users. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
Limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, MIK INDUSTRIES LIMITED excludes all implied warranties and is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, or academic, disciplinary, or examination outcomes arising from use of, or misuse of, the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections available to you.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above and, where changes are material, take reasonable steps to notify you. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
